We are currently looking for 4 experienced Organic Furniture Maker to join our team! The successful candidate will be working alongside our manufacturing and installation teams in ensuring that we provide our clients with top-notch quality products they can brag about! We are looking for someone who considers themselves as artists, and not just furniture assemblers.

Your duties will include but will not be limited to:

Conduct area measurements and labour and cost estimations for the furniture to be designed and manufactured,
Read and interpret imported furniture drawings and prepare corresponding specifications,
Trim joints and fitting wooden and metal furniture parts together,
Sand wooden surfaces and apply varnish, veneer, stain or polish for finish,
Prepare layouts for wood and metal articles and create samples and prototypes,
Operate hand saws and other woodworking power and hand tools,
Repair, refinish and paint furniture with specific colours,
Create authentic, classic and modern furniture looks, etc.,
Establish templates, jigs and fixtures for production of furniture and other products,
Select and cut vinyl to form parts of wood products,
Instruct and lead apprentices, trainees and volunteers, when necessary,
Maintain clean and safe work environment as per safety procedures,
Clean work area after the shift and log all weekly job activities,
What we are looking for:

Highschool diploma – any training certificates will be an asset!,
At least 3 years of experience working with metal and custom wood furniture manufacturing/ carpentry (in a similar position),
Previous experience in organic furniture manufacturing,
Thorough knowledge of European wood furniture design,
Knowledge and ability to use woodworking machines and furniture manufacturing tools,
Willing to travel around GTA and Ontario,
No minimum language requirements
What we are offering:

$23.50 per hour for 35 hours per week
Overtime and weekend schedules may be required
Overtime rate of $35.25 will apply after 44 hours/week
Full time, permanent position
Location of Work: 530 Keele Street, Unit 409-410, Toronto, ON M6N 3C9.

You will be required to travel within GTA and Ontario to our showrooms and customers’ sites for measurement and cost estimation, as required.
